This is somewhat related to my last post, but i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what the new emacs would be like? I've gotten pretty curious mainly because I'm in the market for a new mac right now.

Last I heard was that they might get a slight bump to 1.33 GHz on the low-end, and possibly 1.5 GHz on the high-end. There could also be a video upgrade to a faster video chipset (possibly the Radeon 9600) with more video RAM. One thing's very likely: an upgrade to 512 MB of RAM minimum.

I heard the same thing..... I also heard the update will be likely at the end of this month (April 2005)...
If you can wait until then.... Maybe Apple will markdown the old inventory of eMacs....

Good Luck
