from the specs off Apple's website:

High-Performance Graphics
Every Power Mac G5 boasts a dedicated AGP 8X graphics slot and a choice of standard and premium graphics cards from ATI and nVidia. These powerful cards take full advantage of the latest graphics technologies built into Mac OS X Tiger such as Core Image and Core Video. And all cards support dual displays, video mirroring and TV-out.

Just to be perfectly clear: does this mean out of the box (with the right adapters), I can plug in two screens?

Yep, as long as they aren't 30" displays.

And, well, not quite out of the box.
One of the ports is ADC and one is DVI.
So if you want 2 DVI displays, you need an ADC-to-DVI adaptor, and if you want 2 ADC displays, you need a DVI-to-ADC adaptor.

I know the ADC-to-DVI is $30 from the Apple Store, don't know about the other.

The DVI to VGA adapter will come in the box with the system and you can get a ADC to VGA adapter from either the web or an apple store. About $30 for the part.
- TiBook 867mhz
- Rev. A Dual 2.0ghz PowerMac G5, 3 Gigs Ram, Dual Dell 24" displays.
- Imac G4 20" with 1 Gig of ram

** don't overlook the fact that now some of the new PowerMacs come with two DVI ports... not one DVI and one ADC. The new 2.0's, 2.3's and 2.7's Radeon 9600 and 9650 cards have two DVI ports. Only the single processor Mac's GeForce 5200 still has an ADC port.

DVI > VGA, not the other way around.
