I just ordered a mac mini for my mom for mother's day, now I want to buy an inexpensive 17" lcd monitor also. Also will any lcd monitor with the mini? I do not have the mini yet it is in transit just ordered it earlier in the week from amazon. Thanks in advance!

The Mini has DVI out so most new monitors have DVI, otherwise you will need a DVI-RBG connector. My Dell monitor was DVI and came with the adaptor also.

Any monitor will work, VGA or DVI. The mini supports and comes with adaptors for both.
