I'm using a dual g5 2ghz, and recently been having this problem..
the OS choose to put itself to sleep every few minutes or so.. i checked system preferences, auto sleep is timed at "Never".
Once in a while instead of sleeping, it will shut down by itself. No apparent reason. Funny thing is when I leave my desk, it doesn't go to sleep, but while i'm working at it, it does.

Anyone encountered this before? My first reaction is that this is a hardware thing, like a loose power cord. Don't really know.

ok this is stupid
im' using one of the old cinema displays with those touch sensitive power buttons, and my mouse cord was touching the power button......

Haha, that's pretty funny. Often's the time I've hit an under-desk power strip's power switch with an accidental toe twitch! Doh!
