I just bought a second hard drive for my G5 and originally was going to use it as the second drive. Since it is larger and quieter I decided to do a fresh install of 10.4 on it and use it as the boot drive.

My questions are:

1) Do you have to set a master/slave for S-ATA drives? I am under the impression that you do not. Looking in Disk Utility it tells me that both drives are "Connection id 0" so that has me concerned.

2) Does it matter which drive is in the top or bottom bay?
