Last week I installed tiger with my Formac firewire DVD player. I was going to do a fresh install today with it but it is not being seen at boot for some reason. The OS X Tiger dvd mounts on the OS just fine... as well as any other DVD or cd from the player. I click on the installer to restart with Tiger and it reboots with the question mark folder.

One thing that's got me wondering is that the Startup disk app in OS X sees the OS X DVD and you can select it to boot from but you get the same exact issue... a question mark folder... *but* if you boot in to OS 9 and try to use *it's* startup disk app it greys out the dvd disk... and the install Tiger app on the disk errors when you try to restart and install from it.

I'm not sure if zapping pram will help... but I forgot the command to do it...
