I just pulled trigger on the Dual 2Ghz for $1650 from Apple- I was waiting on the 2.5's to come back, but for the $650 price difference I decided to grab a 2Ghz instead.

Anyways, my Apple salesman told me he is to say it only comes with Panther because that's what's listed on the website... but that he's seen some refurb's going out with Tiger, but not all.

Anybody here order a refurb in the past 10 days and get Tiger as a nice little bonus?

I'd rather not have to pony up for another copy (I didn't buy the Family Pack and I should have- doh!) for this new machine, but I guess that's one thing I can do with the $650 savings!

Woohoo! My first PowerMac! (Hopefully here late this week or early next week)

Yup. On Friday I ordered a G5 1.6 (arrived on Saturday) and it came with a Tiger "drop-in" packet. The Tiger DVD is an upgrade disc that requires 10.3.x to be installed on the hard disk.
