the apple store person i spoke to on the phone said 7 to 10 days... and on my order form it sayd on or before 5/23/2005... Sigh, why does it take so long? The only options I have were: modem, airport express and the bluetooth module... I would imagine it would take no longer than 30 minutes to install those options. Any idea how long it will take? I'm thinkin it shouldn't take that long...

for those ppl who order the new powermacs recently with custom options, how long did it take after the "sent to manufacturing" status before it actually shipped?

Hey Congrats on you 2.7! I ordered a 2.7 through Developers Connection on the 6th, to ship on or before the 13th. Says it's in manufacturing. I really don't know if 13th is just a generic target, or if it's real. Can anyone chime in on release to manufacturing? Just curious if that indicates a certain number of days till ship or what.

I ordered my BTO dual 2.3 GHz PM on 4/27 (day they were announced) and was given an estimated ship day of 5/4. On 5/4 my order got changed with a notice saying "Replaced With New Product", however the new product was the identical computer that I had ordered, but the ship date was moved out to 5/12. I called Apple to find out what was going on and they told me they had to switch my order to a different warehouse and they gave me free overnight shipping for my troubles. The computer ended up shipping on 5/7 and arrived here first thing Monday morning.

I'm typing on it right now and I couldn't be happier with it.
