The internal hard drive of my Quicksilver dual-800mhz G4 died and I need to replace it ASAP. I have no idea how to find a hard drive compatible with this machine and I'm a bit confused by the specs. Can someone point me to a store where I can find a good deal and explain which type of hard drive I should get? Thanks!

You need a regular 3.5" ATA (not SATA) drive, no larger than 128GB (in practice, this means a limit of 120GB).

And read the "Power Mac Storage FAQ" sticky thread. It answers your questions and has the solutions to the size limitation.
