Having just discovered the delights of Skype and internet telephony, I just bought a Bluetooth headset, checking mac compatibility (it requires 10.2.6 or later, I run 10.3.9) and got home excited about using Skype without having to shout across my desk at the internal mike (complete with all background noise). Having had a little chuckle at the tortuous (and rather dangerous sounding) windoze set-up procedure I started through Bluetooth set-up assistant in sys prefs. Oh dear! "Cannot connect because your hardware does not support headsets". It seems that my G4 iMac 800mhz can connect to other computers, palms, phones and printers but not headsets, although having searched the Apple site it seems that the G5 imac does support them. What I would like to know is is it possible to upgrade my Bluetooth hardware? Or do I have to wait until the G5 iMac revC to arrive, as I intend to get one then.
