I have a PC that is 3.0ghz with 768 RAM and it seems pretty darn quick....I am thinking about getting a dual 2.0 PowerMac with 1gig of RAM....am I going to notice a slowdown using safari compared to a PC using Explorer? Any Dual 2.0 users out there can make a comparison for me

DP 2.0s are very fast, but it's a good idea for you to use a Mac before making such a substantial purchase.

Dual 2.0 is fast, I love it. I do not think you'll notice a slowdown, I think the opposite will be true. But test it, maybe you can surf on a G5 at an apple store?

A Powermac G5 Dual 2.0 has more raw computing power but it also depends on how well the particular software you will use is written and optimized.

The dual 2.0 may not feel as responsive using safari, but it can definitely crunch numbers faster. If you do any kind of multimedia work, the dual G5 will be a worthwhile investment.
