i got a dual 2.7 and went to my system profiler, and it says I have a WDC WD2500JD-41HBC0. Is this a Western Digital? I was going to get the 400GB BTO option. But decided to order it from somewhere else other than Apple cause it'll be a lot cheaper.

For those of you who got the 400GB BTO option from Apple, can you please post the exact model number you have. I plan on getting one of these to put inside my G5..

Really, Apple uses a variety of parts.

Some get WDC, some get Hitachi, some get Seagate.

I have had a IBM drive that died and they sent a Seagate as replacement.

So, it doesn't matter which drive you buy, as long as you get SATA, you'll be fine.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.
