Alright Im in the range to buy a new mac, Im either going to buy the 15in PB Combo Drive with 1 gig ram and maybe get a 20in Cinema display later, or get the dual 2.0 G5 with 20in BT and AP, and 1gig ram I love the portability of the PB yet I love the power of the PM. And also theres the cost difference Owners plz help me decide...

Welcome to the forums, Force Angel. I don't know what the optimal arrangement is for you, but for me I like a powerful desktop accompanied by an adequate laptop. For example, my main Mac is my DP 2.0 (Rev. B), but I can still tolerate daily use of my five year old iBook 466 because I don't demand that much power from my portable Mac. Some share the same view, while others prefer a lesser desktop with a beefier laptop.

Do what I did...buy em both! You need to look at what you're going to be doing most of the time. If your needs require alot of processing power go for the G5...if not then go for the powerbook. You'll love either one.

The PM could go a little longer than the PB because of its upgradeability. In the PM you can change vid cards, put in a newer DVD drive, etc, but I think both machines should go at least 3-4 years. The PM maybe more because you can upgrade certain components to keep up better.
I think your choice should be based on your needs. Will you need to take the Mac with you, if so then choose for the PB. If that is not necesary, and you want all the power you can get then go for the PM... Just my view.

The real power is on the Dual PowerMacs, I would get one of those Dual beast plus a nice display over any actual PowerBook.
