i just bought a used imac (it was originally purchased in december) and received it about 4 days ago. yesterday, out of nowhere, the screen went dark. i could still barely make out what was on the screen, but was unable to do anything.

i fumbled with the monitor - moving it up and down - and the light would flicker on and off and i'd finally find a position where it would stay on.

since then, it keeps happening.

any ideas on what to do? i have applecare but i'm just waiting for the original owner to transfer it to my name. should i just wait and bring it to a genius bar?
