Dunno about you man, but if there was so much dust/dirt from remodeling in your house floating around that you were concerned it'd damage your computer, I'd be worried about it damaging your lungs!
The general rule with renovation is if you're not there to the point you're worried things might be taken, you aren't keeping a close enough eye on what's going on lol, maybe you'll be lucky here (I hope you are), but our renovation projects always end up being a giant headache... current stuff was supposed to be done BEFORE May 11th, considerably so, but one delay after another, the contractor went to jail for a personal problem and one of his cousins took over, wasn't able to come for TWO freaking weeks, and along the way we've had to deal with the subfloor in one of our bathrooms needing to be replaced (no problem, we expected it), and the people putting in the wrong kinda wood (half inch instead of 3/4"), now we found that at the entrance of the bathroom they cut it before the beam and the floor before the bathroom is going to have to be reinforced because of that. @&%^
They're not terrific workers though, one day while working on taking out the floor up there one of the employees gets so tied up in a phone call argument with his girlfriend he misses a step and we end up with a hole in the ceiling, luckily he didn't end up finding himself on the first floor, but he came close enough. As we found, in the laundry room somebody tried to put the 'wonderboard' (stuff that goes underneath tile) on top of the linoleum that's already there! -- NO WAY.
For 3 little bathrooms and a laundry room it's been a damn mess, so yeah I'd be keeping a watchful eye on your employees, not that I think they'll rip you off but they might do something you don't want, in this case I suppose part of our luck was that we chose people and then ended up asking them to do more than they were experienced in doing, oh well.
