I wanted to "force restart" my iMac G5 and I found out how by picture below:

When I followed the last 2 instructions on this pic. and it put my iMac to sleep? I was like "Huh?" So How do I force restart my iMac?

I'd figure that control + apple/command + power button pressed together would be enough. I never had a problem with a Mac in having to use that key combo.

Hold the power button in until the machine turns off.

I think you can do those tricks by using the eject key on the keyboard instead of the power key. Holding in the button is force shutdown, but you have to hold it for a few seconds.

You need to hold it in for 5-10 seconds.
