I own an iMac G4, bought Dec 2003. It's the half-globe shape with the flat screen on the moveable arm version. Recently, the CD drawer has refused to open. I hear a sond like it's trying to open, but it doesn't. Someone told me it's a major repair job because the computer has to be partially dismantled in order to fix it.
What is the general opinion? Should I fix it, or buy a separate CD reader/burner?
