seems the 1.8 single cpu pm is a dead product, it's gone from the "store". i had just ordered one before they updated the ship time to 7-10 business days and now its gone. mine was supposed to have shipped in 1-3 bd, but hasnt after 2 weeks. customer service doesn't seem to know either, my card has NOT been charged at least.

maybe they will drop the price on the "new" entry level dp 2.0...?

i hope

Sounds like Apple is already starting to clear out stock on the lowest hanging fruit...

i just got my sp 1.8 canceled after posting this, they said "no problem" even though the status page indicated i was unable to do so at this late date. they must be gone already or promised to others.

i want a dp 2.0 anyway and think i will wait a bit for a price drop. cant afford it otherwise.

That's surprising, Gangster, considering the Apple Store near me has three remaining in stock (I'm thinking about buying one, which is why I know). You would think that Apple would have just shipped you one from a store. If you search with Google for part number M9555LL/A, you will probably find someone who still has one in stock.

In any case, I lament the loss of the single processor Power Mac. I know that it is not as sexy as the dual units but they played an important role for those who want a tower but are well served by a single CPU.
