...from my iMac DV 400MHz/768MB/120GB/AP to a shiny new eMac 1.42GHz/512MB/160GB/SD-DL/APE !!!!

SWEET!

And of course I can now retire (or semi retire) my Que!Fire 16x CDR, but definitely keep my iSub in service

Sorry for babbling on, but new Mac come into one's life so rarely. It even smells new... And yes, I'll be ordering more RAM for this baby soon. Would you believe a 1 GB stick is A$4450 (US$350 ) out here? I can get the same from OWC (including delivery) for US$120. Pirates, I tell you. BTW is there any use for an old DV that is showing signs of a failing PAV board? (For the past 3 weeks it's had orange artifacts/stripes to the right of open windows). I'll rescue the AP card, RAM and HD for my parent's iMac 350.

Cool, sounds ace.

My imac g3 450 DV+ has just died. Still deciding which path to take down the mini/emac/imac route. Sorely tempted to go for an imac. But the emacs are still ace value.

Sure do! when the smell gets old I just go back to smelling nail polish to bring back the memories of the first time I took my iBook out of the box.

No, I wouldn't, because I think you mean 450 AUD.
