Ever since I have had my Mini, it has had problems getting the monitor back on after sleeping but now the problem is getting worse. If I leave it on for any length of time, the monitor just goes off and it occasionally flickers. It seems as if when I put the mouse in the dock that will make the screen turn black and also it flickers more when I have a video playing.

Is this a common problem? It sounds like it is more with the Mini than the monitor... any ideas?

Just an update since no one here seems to know anything... I switched from DVI to VGA and I havent had the problem since. It looks like the problem is either in the DVI cable that came with the computer or within the DVI part of the monitor. Lets hope that it continues to work.

I need to call Dell and talk with them about it. Fortunately, in the past I have always had pretty good luck with Dell's support. As far as the monitor, I loved it until it started screwing up... I would still recommend it though, the price was great when I bought it and otherwise I have been satisfied.

How's the quality with VGA? OK? Not dim compared to the DVI?

How does the monitor work on a PC, or on other computers?

I do not think it is any more dim using VGA... I definantly have not noticed a difference. I used it on my Dell Laptop as well and it works fine.
