Hi,
Help!
My Mac Mini is acting up and giving me kernel panics periodically. I suspect it might be something to do with the hardware, but I'm not sure. Here's the output from panic.log:
Mon Jun 27 22:23:00 2005

It looks like it's related to PPP. Do you use an USB DSL modem? did you install any third party driver to support it? it might be the culprit.

Hi,
I use the built-in modem.
Yah, I noticed that it crashes more when I'm on the 'net. Any ideas as to how to fix it?
Thanks, you've been a great help already!

well, if you use the internal modem... it might be either a bug in Mac OS X, or an hardware issue... did it appear recently? did you install any other driver to support new hardware? do you have any non-Apple hardware plugged on the Mac? did you add third-party memory?

I fear it may be a hardware problem because all this appeared after I carried it in my bag to uni' and back... I've a scanner (Agfa SnapScan 1212u), a set of speakers, and a wireless Microsoft mouse attached to it (as well as a standard Apple keyboard). I've also got it networked to my laptop (Ethernet).
Cheers

Hi
I just saw this : When the kernel crashes on Mac OS X, the system displays a panic message. At this point the system will have to be restarted. But before hitting the reset button, how can one find out what caused the crash?
This technote addresses kernel panics: what they are and how to debug the code that caused the panic.
http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2002/tn2063.html
I hope that this helps you and everyone reading this.

Thanks for that.
I've managed to clean install the OS, and it seems to be working fine now. Looks like it might have the software.
