I have the first generation imac 800 MHz flat panel. Today it has 512 Meg ram running panther and my question is if going to 768 Meg would make a noticable speed difference?
I will be using Garageband with my keyboard, nothing complex or fancy though just playing with different software instrument.

I am thinking of loading Tiger and in addition to surfing and email I use iMovie and iPhoto in particular.

Would 768 make a diference or would I have to go to a full Gig to notice anything and would even that be worth it?

Thanks

/Peter

i would just wait an get a gig beacuse you wont have much of a difference
but if you can only afford the extra 256 get it!!

Dont use tiger yet your better off with panther 10.3.9
i wouldnt use tiger until they release some updates
