Hi Steve. There were several versions of them. The first ones out only plugged into the back of the PowerMac G4 and were powered from a special amp inside the computer. I would think all the other ones, as long as they only have the small audio input, will work fine. Regards,

i had some of those nice little speakers for my 466 g4 power mac. when i bought my imac g5 i found they didn't fit. an adapter i was told would cost a bit (perhaps they were lying...) so for $100 aust bought a new set of speakers with a sub woofer...much better but a little uglier. so i my opinion no then yes with adapter.

No, there's 2 kinds of pro speakers -- the Cube speakers (that came with the g4 cube), and the Pro speakers that came with the imac g4, and were able to work with a few powermacs..

Because they require an amplifier you'll need something like an iFire (Griffin tech makes one), and that'll power it, but yes those do cost a bit.

You can get JBL creatures (which are more or less about the same or a little better), for about $65ish

I'm buying a 20" iMac, and I want to invest in some better speakers (without investing too heavily). Do the JBL Creatures sound decent?

EDIT: Never mind. I searched the forums over quite a bit and found more than enough information. Move along, people. Nothing to see here. Move along...
