This issue has bee festering on the apple discussion boards for too long and apple still has not addressed it. Has anyone found a temporary solution?

I like to just unplug mine when its on, its faster, uses even less power, and it always boots up again just fine; no annoying freezes or whatever.

I was having wake from sleep issues with my DP 2.0 that I attribute to the USB card I've got in it. You asked for a temporary fix...here's what I do. I don't "let" my computer go to sleep on it's own. I found that if I log out and then put it to sleep it works just fine. It only takes me a few seconds to log back in and it wakes every time. I alomst never shut my computer down unless I'm going to be away for more than a day or if there are storms in the area, but I do log out and put it to sleep anytime I'm away from my desk. Not the most elegant solution but it works, and like I said I'm sure my problems are caused by my USB card, without that I had no problems whatsoever. Maybe the same thing could work for you.

Are you saying you're physically unplugging your Mac instead of shutting down? Can that possibly be?
