I traded in my ibook g4/800 a few days ago and got one of the new "revision" Mac Minis, anyhow, the tech at the shop pulled out my airport extreme card and gave it back to me, and now I'm wondering, can I install it in my Mini?

The Mac Mini supports the mini-PCI AirPort Express card. You can install it, but doing so is not for the faint of heart, because the AirPort card is at the very bottom of the device and taking it apart is a very involved procedure.

You are correct; only the new 1.42 systems come standard with AirPort (and Bluetooth).

If you insert it into the slot-loading drive, the computer will automatically install it.

Sometimes I'm just too litterally-minded, I guess. It would be good if that worked though...
