Hola. I just installed a temperature monitor in my quicksilver, which is sporting dual 1.33ghz G4s. I put a temp sensor right between the chips taped onto the heatsink, and I'm getting , with the case open:

131 degrees F, or 56 degrees Celcius or so.

With the case closed, however, I'm getting :

158 degrees F, or 70 degrees celcius.

Is that too high? Please report with your g4 temps, I don't want to fry my system.

Doubt you're gonna see many report their temps since most people have not put temp sensors under their heatsinks.

ambient temp. 20cº .CPU. board 40cº. under load 45cº.(running idifrag) measure : Temperature monitor this is stagnant air NEXT to the cpu!!!
The only way i found to measure the cpu and/or all else is by ☛infrared☚ and then it reads CPU board 32cº , under load:38cº

I could tell you, but that would be encouraging laziness.

Motorola/Freescale have information freely available on their site, you know...

Been there. I can't find ****. Their search only brings up press releases, which do not have technical data.

Thanks for being so helpful.
