I have a thunderfly (very small black flat fly) between the LCD panel and the protective screen. It crawled around for a while and I was hoping it would die in the corner. Unfortunately it died smack in the middle of the screen. Any ideas on how to remove it would be welcome.

Thats tricky. I suppose you could try blowing it out with air, if you can find the gap where it got in.
I've got one of these in the LCD of my stereo, must have been attracted to the orange backlight. I've got no idea how it got in there. but it's dead now and really annoying.

It probably got in through the heat vent (or perhaps the optical drive), so "blowing it out" probably isn't in an option, because the fly likely blindly navigated his way around until he found his way to the LCD screen, and then died to death due to extreme heat.

Your only option is probably to disassemble the computer, unless you can lift up and shake the computer until the little guy falls out somewhere, but I wouldn't recommend doing that.

This certainly is a difficult (and hilarious) situation. The fly is probably gonna start to stink, soon. Especially if you keep using your computer, because it's extremely warm inside the computer.

Reminds me of what happened to my mom's *new* cinema display. It's an ADC style one though, but once we got it - about a month after I noticed ... yeah.. a dead fly between the back and the plastic.

Thankfully this should be easy to get out, and well.. I don't think it died because of the heat (there isn't much back there). I think I might have to shake this one out though since the back plastic is usually attached to the back metal.

I've got a moth in the bottom of the sub from my SoundSticks... was probably attracted by the little blue LED. Has been there for about 2 years!
