Advocating piracy?

Methinks someone got a little carried away on their power trip.

Advocating piracy? Jeez, stretch the facts to fit your trip or what?

900+ posts, over 5 years, mostly trying to be helpful - and now I'm a pirate?

So much for rational discussion.

I'm VERY disappointed in the small-mindedness and paranoia apparent.

Yeah... I didn't realize that trying to install a licensed copy of Tiger onto a home-built computer was "piracy".

How is it licensed?

So far, the only legitimate users of the x86 variant of Tiger are developers who are leasing
systems from Apple computer.

Yes, it would be very interesting to run the x86 version of Tiger on commodity PC hardware
just to see how it performs.

And it undoubtedly is irresistible to people who are attracted to the idea of running OS X but
don't want to pay the coin.

But why should the operators of this board apologize for doing things to prevent possible
legal action from Apple? They're trying to promote open discussion but they have to be
adult and draw the line where the legality of the discussion is in question.

Can you imagine the news? "MACNN Macintosh news site shut down, conduit to illegal x86
how to advice spells end of venerable news site" could be a very real possibility. People
have been sued for less.

Wake up booboo.

Apple has already said that the running of OS X on standard PCs will not be allowed. Thus, you have to assume that even attempting to run it would involve some sort of hackery and no doubt a violation of the EULA.
