I just got an Apple Cinema 20" display and am trying to connect it to my G4 (10.4.1) using a DVI to ADC converter. When I start my system up, the monitor first starts, and then within 10 seconds shuts down. No picture at all. Both the display and the converter work on similar setups. I'd appreciate ANY ideas on what could be the problem here.

Tried zapping PRAM?

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

Reboot (or cold boot) and as soon as you hear the Startup chime, press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys.
Keep 'em held down until you hear a second chime. Now let them go and cross your fingers that this helps.
Let us know.
