I'm looking at purchasing a used Power Mac G5. The specs are that its a 2.7, 250 gig hard drive,2 one gig sticks of ram from apple, 9650 graphics card, bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse, it has 3 years of applecare and comes with the following software; Final Cut Studio which includes Final Cut Pro 5, Soundtrack Pro, Motion 2 and DVD Studio Pro 4; Adobe Creative Suite 2 which combines full new versions of Adobe Photoshop® CS2, Illustrator® CS2, InDesign® CS2, GoLive® CS2, and Acrobat® 7.0 Professional software with new Version Cue® CS2, Adobe Bridge, and Adobe Stock Photos; Toast 6 Titanium; Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac and Virtual PC 7 for Mac. Is the system worth $3k? its in mint condition only 3 months old. I appreciate any input.

Does the software come with the actual CDs and serial numbers? If not, it is worthless.

Unless you know the seller, I'd be cautious. A brand new G5 2.7GHz is $3000, w/o applecare. Throw in the software and applecare and (to me) it sounds too good to be true, and as the saying goes if its too good to be true then it probably is.

If its an ebay auction, I'd stear clear, but you know the person, or have physical contact then it might be ok.
