Do you mean Safari will not launch?
Try repairing permissions:
• Go to /Applications/Utilities and open Disk Utility.
• On the left, select your boot hard-drive (that you installed OS X on)
• On the right, now click Repair Permissions button and wait until it's finished
• Now try launching Safari

Thanks for your reply.
I did just what you suggested and went through to the end of the repaair permissions but Safari would not load. I then tried a New Installation from Disk with the same result. So I guess if I want Safari I might have to go to Kenya!!
But seriously I would welcome any other ideas.

1) Did you update to the new version of Safari?
If so, did the problem occur before or after you installed the update
Also, did the dialog box appear and give you the option to submit the bug and then restart the application?
2) Drag Safari out of the Dock, Open a Finder Window, Navigate to Applications and double click on Safari.
Check out this if you updated:

Thanks, Apeln, I have tried both your suggestions but without success.
I will continue to follow the thread as I see that I am not alone in my quest for Safari and hopefully Apple will recognise the problem and come up with a workable solution.

So let me try and gather what happened - you were using Safari, it crashed and then the error box asking you if you want to launch it again appears, but it won't launch again?
It sounds to me like there is a corrupt preference file or something. Go to your home folder / library / preferences and look for a file called "com.apple.Safari.plist". Drag this file onto the desktop. Now try launching Safari again. If it launches that file was corrupt and you should move it to the trash (problem solved). If Safari still won't open I'm not sure what the problem is.
By the way, this should be the Applications forum, not the iMac, Mini, and eMac forum. Can a moderator please move it?
