Has anyone here taken their iMac Rev A into the apple store for the repair program?? If so what do they do to it? (Give it a new midplane, etc... If they do give it a new midplane is it a rev B one?) And was it a in and out repair, or you have to leave it there for a few days??

I just got my iMac back from repair. They diagnose and repair whatever needs to be repaired. In my case, I had a bad lower fan. Got my iMac back in about a week and it's worked fine since. You have to leave your computer and they'll call you when it's ready to be picked up.

I got my Rev A iMac repaired for bad VRAM a few months back. I believe it was 7-10 days because they had a backlog. But they were able to bump my repair up in front of the other people after i purchased Apple ProCare (99$). I believe they then fixed it in 1 or 2 days.

This was a few months ago though, so I'm not sure if they are doing things differently now.
