OS 8?

What OS are you currently running?

Also, why are you running such an old OS?

Well, for one thing, the OS version is important: a 350MHz iMac requires Mac OS 8.5.1 or higher.

But in any event, your problem description is much too vague for anyone to help you troubleshoot. Please describe in far more detail what you did, what did and didn't work, etc.

okay frist the mouse works sometimes. It will work for a second stop working then it will disapear. the computer gets system errors and since the mouse won't move i can't restart the computer properly the compn freezes up. How much ram do we need to run a basic OS X

Also the reason im running an old OS on that system is because I can't find OS 9 discs to upgrade it that far. Yes, it sucks. Anyway, so can I reformat completely or not?
