Back sotry on the computer is, its Dual Processer 1ghz, 1280mb of ram that i got it free from a PC repair shop that said it had a bad power supply. Well i figured out why they said that today. When i tryed to add in a 3rd harddrive (main and secondary is on the ATA 100 plug) onto the ATA66 plug all the computer would do when you hit the power button is light up and then go back out. Nothing at all as for start up. Im guessing this is why the shop gave it up since they were trying to put a harddrive in the ATA66 side.

Did i make any sense here?

Yeah, you're making sense. My question is, what's the verdict? Did you pull out the extra drive?
I've got 4 drives in my G4 400 running just fine. two on the first bus, another on the second with my DVD/RW

Yeah... sounds like a bad power supply. You can get a decent one from a lot of places. Just do a search but make sure to get one at least 300W as the extra drives *do* require the extra juice.

Here's one place I've dealt with and they're very cool:

At one time I actually managed to get NINE drives in my QuickSilver dual 1Ghz. Did it boot? Yep - for about two seconds then it would power off. Had to remove one drive. Since getting my G5 I've become an external kinda guy.

Ahh, external SATA... so sweet.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.
