It all started with my Macintosh HD failing to boot up and the blinking folder apppeared. After unpluggng and replugging my Macintosh HD my 15" Apple Studio Display failed to register a picture so I plugged in a regular CRT and it worked once then had the same problem of not registering a picture. My brother & I came to the same conclusion of having the video card reseated. When I was pulling the video card the green bracket supporting(?) it broke into two pieces. My question is what is this bracket and do I need to glue it back together so my PowerMac doesnt screw up? Was the bracket ment to support the weight of the video card during shipping or prevent tampering?

I'm using a Quicksilver 2002 dual 1GHz Quicsilver & a 15" Apple Studio Display.

BTW after reseating the video card my display worked again. All I can say is ADC sucks.

don't worry the bracket doesnt really matter that much as long as the card is screwed in.
