Hey

So I hooked up my mini to my tv using the dvi to video adapter that apple sells.. but now i m having a problem..

It was intially set at 800 by 600 resolution.. i attempted to increase it and now the computer video is on the fritz..

the screen continues to scroll over and over... How can I reset the video output?

Plug in a monitor that can handle a high refresh rate and then set it back to 800x600 -OR- ssh into the machine and try deleting /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist
Deleting that file worked in 10.2.. Haven't used it since, and it certainly won't hurt.

Other things to try...
Reset PRAM (CMD-OPT-P-R on boot)
SAFE BOOT (Hold down shift on boot)

If it says you have to be root then put sudo in front of the command. ie if they tell you to type "rm <something>" you actually type "sudo rm <something>" and after you hit enter it will ask for your password. This executes the command as the root user. You have to be an admin user to use sudo though.
