I feel like a total retard and am totally out of my league on this forum but I'm trying to learn lol. Anyway I have a powermac g4 but I don't know what type model it is. I went on the mac website and looked it up and I think I narrowed it down to a g4 (pci graphic) ? My audio ports are horizontal from each other, So I think that's right but I keep seeing quicksilver or ethernet posted everywhere? what is this? I have so many dumb questions lol. If anyone wants to reroute me to Mac for dummies by all means point the way lol. Thanks

Apple's naming scheme is stupid, so it's understandable that you ask. Quicksilver and Gigabit Ethernet are names for two of the more recent G4 models. PCI Graphics and AGP Graphics are the two first models, so if you say that you have a Powermac G4 PCI Graphics, then that is your model description.

If you have newbie questions, the best thing you can do is to use first Google and then the search function on this forum before you ask them, to make sure they haven't been asked a hundred times before. Faster for you, easier on us - and if you can't find it, feel free to ask.

Sway, check here. http://www.apple-history.com/
You'll be able to identify your mac. I ordered a PCI G4 the day Apple announced them. Loved that machine.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Launch the System Profiler and you'll find all the information you need.
