I'm at my whits end. I have an IMac that won't recognize a printer that i'M trying to install. The printer is an HP Laserjet 1300. After I install the software, and go to the chooser, it's not listed in there!

The only printer that's listed is a Ricoh that's hooked up via our network, and that works fine!

We're running OS 9.2. Please help!

Can we assume that the HP is connected via ethernet? - if not and it is connected via USB, have you selected that in the chooser as well?

May seem a dumb question but I am not completely familiar with every HP printer.

If connected via ethernet - are you confident of the printer;s settings e.g. have you set it to Appletalk or set its IP address appropriately?
