Today the harddrive in the old school G4/350 died. I found out that it's the original production model with the slower ata33 bus. I'm not that familiar with ata harddrives and i'm trying to figure out what i can replace the old drive with. I know thier are size limitations on the drive based on the 33mhz ata bus speed. But i'm wondering what i can replace the drive with, an ata100 HD? ata133 HD? Also what size HD can i put back into the beast? If anyone knows and could post the information it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
ATA 66, 100, or 133 will work, you just won't get the full speed as you're limited by the controller. Most likely you'll hit the 128GB limitation, so if you get anything up to 120GB you'll probably be OK.
