I have a 333mhz imac connecting hard wired (ethernet cable) to a linksys wireless router to a cable modem. my power book sees the wireless signal fine the imac sees the cable modem when pluged in directly but it does not see it thru the router or the router. i started with a netgear product; there support was snotty so i bought the linksys instead. there tech support was very nice but they thought it was an imac problem. help!

Check that the led corresponding to port of the iMac is ON when you plug the cable on the router. If not, then your cable is probably damaged. Also make sure the iMac is setup with DHCP in system preferences.
