is there a way to wipe a hard drive clean without the computer actually booting? hd is corrupt and the imac g4 wont boot. any ideas? i am trying to install tiger on it when it freaked out.

I believe if you boot from the tiger cd you can access the disk utility in the menu instead of installing. You should be able to format the drive here.

Or I could be completely wrong and will get rubbished by the real experts soon.....
