Does the new FrontRow app allow you to record TV shows similar to Tivo or the Microsoft Windows Media thing?

Not yet. Maybe not ever. It looks like the game plan is to make for cheap TV show downloads instead.

Wanna watch Lost? $.99? I haven't downloaded iTunes 6 yet, but I'm assuming that's about right.

It looks like $1.99 per episode. $35 for the whole first season.

The The price stinks because is it only costs $39 for the first season on DVD from Amazon. The only thing bad about this though that there is no direct way to get DVD -> iPod.

One possible solution that I will test is to rip the DVD with a program called Handbrake and then export movie to iPod using quicktime pro.

This works, but it is so slow it doesn't seem worth it.

The image quality on those 1.99 episodes leaves alot to be desired for anything but the iPod screen. Not to mention the 16/9 image is not respected.
