hey all, I've finally gotten fed up with my wiring and am wanting to go all wireless, but wondering if an Airport Extreme card will be compatible with my Dual 1.25 G4? I suspect that only an original Airport card is compatible but i'm hoping an extreme would work -- can anyone advise me?

If your machine has FireWire 800, you can use an Extreme card. If not, you're limited to standard AirPort.

If you don't mind the antenna sticking out the back, you could install a 3rd party PCI wifi card.

You could also get a wireless ethernet bridge. It plugs into an ethernet port, needs no drivers and voila you have extreme speeds! Anyway, I have one (that I want to sell by the way) which I was using successfully with a mini Mac before I sold the computer. $50 and it's yours.

The unit was only used for about a month and performed flawlessy - good reception range and strong signal.

cool, thanks for the info. i'm going to take a stab at setting up a new routing map to solve my problems and i'll get back to you if I go the bridge route.
