Hello All,

I have a G5 1.8 Sp machine. I was wondering if there is a way to get the video to go from my computer to show up on my TV via my home theater system...

My home theater system can receive any kind of connection: optical, rca, s-video... you name it.
I called my local computing center and they said that I couldn't use the optical as it is for audio only, and that the only way that they could imagine was with the DVI port...I don't think I have that.

Any help / advice / info would be great!

You have DVI. All Power Mac G5s have at least one DVI port, plus either an ADC port (as in your case), or a second DVI port.

I know I have that other port (ADC?) Is there a cord that goes from ADC to RCA, ADC to S-Video?

Apple makes a DVI to S-Video/composite video adapter for $20.

Well, to use the video adapter linked above, you MUST use the DVI port. That means you'll have to have your primary display on the ADC port. If you have an Apple ADC display that connects right to it, you're set. If you use a VGA or DVI display, just get the adapter from ADC to what you need.
