Hi,

Apologies if this is already answered, but I didn't see any posts on the topic.

Has anyone tried (or know) if the newly introduced powermacs can use the third-party brackets which allow for 3 extra internal drives (e.g. Transintl Swift Data, the "G5 Bracket", etc.)?

From the picture on the Apple website it looks like the fan takes up more room, which would be a big downer on the new systems.

Thanks,
LK

LK,
while I'm not 100% certain, from looking at all the photos of the new Macs it appears that the larger fan assembly will not allow for currently available brackets that mount extra drives to fit in the lower area. Still, companies may find another way to fit drives in there.
So it boils down to the old "hurry up and wait."

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.
