I have some weird sleeping issue on my September 2005 PowerMac DP2.3... When I sleep my Mac the followwing happens:

- Mac goed to sleep
- Mac immediately wakes up

When I sleep it again at that point it will usually crash with a kernel panic (see panic.log below).

Machine is basically standard with the only external addon being my iSight. cmd+option+P+R did not fix it.

Besides this my Mac has _never_ crashed but heavily used. Any clues?

panic.log:

Looks like it could be something to do with SCSI????

yeah, but I don't have SCSI? I just saw that I have an external cardreaser which is connected to the hub in my Cinema Display (duh ). I unplugged it, let's see it if it makes a difference

Hence the reason i'm confused about why SCSI would be popping up in there.

Do you have any other devices attached?

Try just having Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse and your internet connection and see what happens.
I'm assuming this is easy to reproduce by sleeping the powermac?

yup, very easy to reproduce. maybe the scsi driver is attached for the card reader... dunno. as it's connected to the ACD I missed it. i'm trying to get my Mac to lock up, will try again right after hitting "Submit Reply"

edit: hasn't crashed once with the card reader detached...

Now you need to test it with the card reader and see what happens.

It could be because it's connected to the ACD but you should be able to work that out with some trial and error.
