I was wondering what the future looks like with the G4 processor upgrades, does anyone have some info/rumor mill stuff on when the 7448's will be used (if ever). I have a QS2001 867 thats in need of a upgrade, and the gigadesigns dual 1.8 looks tempting.

The frequencies won't improve much as does the performance. Rumors have it that the 7448 does not improve the clock speed significantly over the 7447A (the rumors mills predicted that the new PowerBooks would use the new 7448s @1.7 GHz.

If you want an upgrade, go for it.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
