I have read all the things about taping pins 3 and 11, so I gave it a shot.

I took the 9600xt from my April 2005 Dual 2.0, and it boots, but only to Safe Mode.

Any attempt to load the ATI kext (9700 is the one it's chosing) hangs the boot at a plain blue screen with only a mouse arrow.

In safe mode, the card shows up properly in ASP, but since the driver is not loaded, I get no love.

Anyone have any insight into things to try?
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.
