Novice here...

I want to buy eMac or iMac(asked by my mother) ,

I wonder the advantages of them,any is welcome!

What's the differeces?

iMac by a long shot. Its much more up to date, much more powerful.
Plus, eMacs are pretty much finished with now. Im sure dealers will still have stocks, but you'll notice they are not on Apples website any more.
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

eMacs are still on Apple's site, but only if you are an institutional buyer.

But yeah, some retailers may still have it in stock for individuals.

Anyways, I'd recommend a refurb 17" iMac G5 if you want to save some bux. Much nicer computer, and much faster too. Actually, Apple has a Refurb 20" 1.8 GHz with SuperDrive right now for $1150.
