hi

does anybody know if a 512mb ram module would work in a powermac g3 blue & white (g4 450mhz upgrade)

since the maximum ram on these is 1GB - what would happen if you put four 512mb modules in?

thanx in advance

The motherboard memory controller cannot see anything bigger than 256 MB sticks. A 512 stick may work, but will be recognized as 256.

The only way a B&W can fully use 512s is if someone has swapped in a later motherboard. A CPU upgrade alone doesn't change the RAM details.
